CIPD festival of Work Olympia London power your working future
Abstract
The CIPD Festival of Work begins tomorrow at Olympia London and promises to ‘power your working future’ by shedding light on changes in the hospitality sector workplace.

There are three pillars of the CIPD Festival of Work: ‘Learning and Development show’, ‘HR Software and Recruitment show’ and the new ‘Future of Work show’.

Over the two action-packed days some of the biggest issues in the world of work will be tackled through exhibitions and conferences. Topical issues including artificial intelligence, leadership and the future of learning will be addressed.

The experience will see over 9,000 professionals attend, including 1,200 conference delegates and over 160 speakers, including Rt Hon Greg Clark the secretary of state for business energy and industrial strategy.

There will be interview opportunities with industry professionals including Anthony William, global learning design manager at Costa Coffee, Chris Lincoln, head of learning and development at Be at One and Oliver Cavaliero, head of recruitment at Honest Burgers.

Attendees can try out the latest technology from providers at the Innovation or Well-being Village. Yoga therapy and therapy dog sessions are also available.

The hospitality industry employs 1.7 million people in the UK (6% of the total population). This sector has undergone several transformations in recent years with the increase of smart technology changing the role people perform at work.
