Abstract
Chris Jones has been promoted to the position of managing director of Lincat and will take over later this month after current MD Nick McDonald steps down.

Jones, the catering equipment provider’s current distributor sales director, will replace the departing McDonald, who has held the position of managing director since January 2013.

Jones, who joined Lincat in 2010 as a regional sales manager, said: "Lincat is an ambitious company and my aim is to continue to grow sales and profits through a combination of new product development and by increasing our market share.

“On behalf of the business, I would like to thank Nick for everything he has done for Lincat and wish him all the very best for the future."

McDonald leaves Lincat after over twenty years with the company in which time he has also held the positions of marketing manager, and marketing and export director.

Since his promotion to managing director, McDonald has been credited with playing a pivotal role in the development and launch of new product ranges.  The most recent of these - the heavy duty Opus 800 range and the new series of FilterFlow automatic fill water boilers.

"With Opus 800 and the new series of FilterFlow successfully launched, it's a good time for me to step down,” said McDonald.

He added: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every colleague for their hard work and support. I also wish my successor, Chris, every success."
