Starting yesterday and finishing tomorrow, anyone visiting Waterloo will be greeted with a host of Christmas offers and live shows from the exciting brands found in-station as the concourse plays host to ‘Live at Waterloo’.

Passengers and station visitors are seeing a packed programme of themed, live shows and demonstrations from 16 in-station brands.

There is wine and beer tasting with The Cabin or Sports Bar & Grill, the chance to add some pre-Christmas party polish with an old-fashioned shoe shine from Thomas Pink, or learning how to perfect the perfect wrapping technique with Paperchase.

Waterloo retailers are offering discounts on hundreds of Christmas gifts and products, including luxury gifts, discounts and offers on food, drink and beauty treatments.

‘Live at Waterloo’ will also see passengers and shoppers entertained with live music tomorrow (November 17th) from some of London’s best up and coming bands.

The festival is being carried out following the completion of a £25m rejuvenation project at Waterloo. Completed ahead of the Olympics it saw a new 220m balcony built at the station to improve access routes to Waterloo East and provide a new collection of boutique and high street brands for passengers and nearby offices and residents.

It is anticipated more than 12m people will pass through the station over the Christmas shopping period.

David Biggs, Director of Property said: “The new balcony provided us with over 20,000 sq ft of additional retail space, and we’ve created a unique shopping destination with a wide choice of shops, cafes and restaurants, where our retail partners benefit from high levels of footfall and one of the most lucrative trading environments available in the market place at the moment.”

Following ‘Live at Waterloo’, the festival spirit will journey onto Kings Cross, which will play host to an evening of shopping and live music on Thursday, December 6th.
