Catering Academy appoints two new senior roles

Jason Jones has joined the Catering Academy as its new general manager of healthcare and Robert Smith has taken up the position of purchasing director.

The general manager role has been specifically designed by the Catering Academy to expand its offering within the healthcare sector by providing high quality catering within the industry.

Robert Smith (right) takes up the new role of purchasing director to deliver sustainable procurement policies and expanding on current line, which support government buying standards.

Jason Jones said: “It’s great to be joining such a fantastic team here at Catering Academy. There’s so much scope for me to be able to grow the healthcare sector and realise the potential of making a real impact within this growing market. With over nine years of experience within the healthcare sector myself; I am ready and equipped to take on the challenge.”

Robert Smith said: “It is a great pleasure to be part of Team Academy, which is a company that shares the same ethos and values as I do. I was ready for a challenge, and the role of Purchasing Director was the perfect career move. I am particularly looking forward to supporting the business in obtaining ISO 14001 a sustainable business guarantee which is a key objective for Catering Academy in the future.”
