Abstract
The average British office worker spends only 30 minutes or less on their lunch break, according to a new study from Kettle Chips.

The research into the nation’s lunchtime patterns showed that only two in ten employees take a full hour for their break.

Results from the study revealed that Britons working through their full lunch hour is equal to 271 days free work over the course of a lifetime.

Reasons given for not taking a full break included having too much work on (51%) and fear of looking bad in front of colleagues (4%).

Of the 2,000 workers polled, 63% admitted working through their entire break, while 67% said they choose to eat lunch at their desk everyday.

The study also revealed that eight in ten people admitted to eating the same lunch week-in-week-out whilst at work, with sandwiches being the most popular choice.

The reseach led to an experiment by Kettle Chips who set out to highlight the importance of enoying lunch breaks. Watch the video here-
