Bartlett Mitchell launch first CSER report
Abstract
Bartlett Mitchell, the independent catering company for London and South East England, has announced today the launch of its first Corporate, Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) report.

The ‘Fruitful World’ report outlines targets for 2017 and celebrates the caterer’s important achievements made in 2016.

Wendy Bartlett MBE, Bartlett Mitchell’s executive chairman, said: “As a progressive business, CSER is embedded within our day-to-day activity but this report helps us highlight some of the brilliant work out teams have undertaken over the last year, as well as give us defined targets to meet for the coming year.”

The report centres on the company’s three pillars of CSER, ‘planet, people and profit’, with aims of business growth, increasing positive social impacts and reducing the company’s environmental footprint.

New targets and strategies, which include the aim to increase the use of Perkee fairtrade coffee and adopting beehives from the British Beekeepers Association, are set out in the report.

Bartlett added: Our ‘Fruitful World’ report sets ambitious targets which means we are constantly looking at new ways to partner with other businesses, our teams, and wider society. Our target is to help drive change and development and, by working closely with our teams and customers, we hope to act as an enabler for the growth of our clients’ businesses.”

The report celebrates the achievements made last year such as the company’s 17.5 per cent reduction in food waste and the sponsorship of 43 water pumps in Malawi which provided water for 5,000 people.
