Abstract
Apetito UK, the food producer for the health and social care sector, has achieved Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Chain of Custody certification for its commitment to sustainable fish.

The new certification comes as it is confirmed 85% of the wild fish apetito UK source is now MSC certified sustainable and traceable.

Lee Sheppard, director of Public Policy & External Affairs at apetito UK, said: “We are delighted to have taken this strong and decisive commitment to 100% demonstrably sustainable fish.

“40 of our fish dishes now contain MSC certified sustainable fish - including 100% of all cod, plaice, pollock and hoki meals.

“Enhancing health and wellbeing is at the heart of our business and this is an important step in our continued journey to ensure we offer uncompromising, quality nutrition for our customers, with unparalleled levels of sustainability.”

The wide range of MSC certified fish dishes that apetito offer includes individual, bulk and plated meals, and a range of specialist nutrition products, including softer fish dishes for those with Dysphagia.
