Abstract
Caterer Amadeus has won a £2.5 million, five-year contract to run all retail and hospitality catering for Stratford-on-Avon Racecourse.

Starting in March, the deal will see the company provide exclusive catering services at the venue on race and non-race days; run all retail and hospitality catering at fixture race events; as well as provide services for all conference and banqueting events held at the venue on non-race days.

With over 22 years experience at the business, general manager for events at Amadeus, Samantha Bates, will lead the catering team there, managing director Kevin Watson commenting:
“Last year, Amadeus’s events team achieved record results under Sam’s leadership and she will bring unparalleled expertise to our partnership with Stratford-on-Avon Racecourse.

“With over 40-years experience in event catering, we (Amadeus) understand the complexities of operating at outdoor sporting events, adapting our retail strategies to meet challenges such as fluctuating visitor numbers and unpredictable weather.

“In addition, we also understand the art of great conference and banqueting catering, constantly innovating and tailoring our menu offering based on delegate or visitor profile.”

The contract marks Amadeus’s first new business win for 2018, which will add to its 30-stong portfolio across the UK, including the NEC Group, Cadbury World, Lawn Tennis Association’s Aegon championships and the IMG Ricoh Women’s Open Golf.
