Industry charity Springboard has teamed up with the Department of Work and Pensions to support the Hospitality Works campaign.

The charity, which supports young people, the unemployed and those facing barriers to work into sustainable employment within the hospitality and leisure industries, will serve up a number of workshops as part of the campaign.

As part of Springboard’s commitment to the campaign, a range of careers materials focussed on the hospitality industry has been sent to every Job Centre across the country. Springboard Ambassadors will also be on hand to deliver interactive workshops to raise the profile of the industry.

Abby Paterson, Springboard’s careers and education director, said: “We are delighted to be working with DWP on this campaign to promote the industry and the vast array of opportunities available to those considering a career or seeking employment in hospitality.”

In addition, the Springboard Careerscope website has been refreshed and relaunched to create a more efficient and dynamic user experience. The ‘Meet the Employer’ section has been fully updated with case studies and videos to provide even more useful information along with fantastic opportunities in hospitality to allow jobseekers to make well informed career decisions. www.careerscope.uk.net

The Hospitality Works campaign has been launched by the British Hospitality Association (BHA), in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). The campaign has revealed 80,000 reasons why a hospitality career works.
