Seasoned caters for Woodland Trust’s fundraising dinner

London event caterer, Seasoned, provided a three course meal for the Woodland Trust’s First World War fundraising dinner, attended by 30 guests.

Taking place at Langley Bottom Farm, Epsom, Surrey, the place was designed to replicate a former WWI training site and centred around the event’s ‘street party’ theme, from the cutlery and serving plates to vintage decorations and popular contemporary music played throughout.

The quintessentially British three-course meal celebrated local, seasonal produce, including a ‘sharing street party’ starter of pulled pork pies, canned ‘bully beef’, beetroot consommé, sorrel leaf and broad bean Scotch eggs and a selection of breads.

This was followed by a duo of beef for main course and white chocolate sphere filled with apple compôte, vanilla crumble, English raspberries and toffee sauce for dessert.

Guests were also offered champagne, rhubarb gin and tonic, ginger beer and classic British drinks upon arrival, alongside a selection of canapés and homemade sweets at the end, which were eaten around the campfire.

Charlotte Johnson, major gifts programme and events manager for the Woodland Trust said: “What Seasoned and the team delivered for us was beyond spectacular. It was everything we had in our dreams for the evening, with an additional 50% of magic sprinkled on top!

“Seasoned thought of everything. The attention to detail was superb and the level of service and support was fantastic. I cannot thank them enough for making it so special (last month).”

Colin Sayers, managing partner of Seasoned added: “Working with The Woodland Trust for the past three years has been an honour and we thoroughly enjoy working towards helping to create memorable events. Our brief was to provide a three course meal of the best restaurant standard, with creative twists towards the theme and we feel that we met the brief and more!”
