Seven chefs came together this weekend (9 September) to cater for the ninth annual Hospitality Action polo day – raising over £54,000 for the industry charity.

Taking place at Beaufort Polo Club (Gloucestershire), all chefs came from the south west region and included:

  • Richard Davies, The Calcot Collection
  • André Garrett, Cliveden House
  • Robby Jenks, The Vineyard
  • Hywel Jones, Lucknam Park
  • Niall Keating, Whatley Manor
  • Rob Potter, The Manor House
  • Kris Biggs, The Rectory and The Potting Shed

With a champagne and canapé reception and a three-course lunch to prepare between them, City of Bath College students made up the front of house team who worked alongside service professionals from HIT Training, Calcot, Cliveden House, Lucknam Park Hotel and Spa, The Manor House, The Vineyard and Whatley Manor.

Having supported the event for ‘a number of years,’ Nick Matthews - regional director of Total Produce - said: “The Hospitality Action Polo Day keeps getting better each year.

“It is wonderful to see so many award-winning chefs in one place, pulling together to create amazing dishes in aid of such a worthy cause.

“Last year the charity spent just over £120,000 supporting those in need across the South West and it is only thanks to events such as these they are able to make a difference.

“Total Produce is delighted to play its part and would urge others to do the same.”
